Loading Tips: Trailer Packing -
What to put in First?? You should always
start with your large items. Maybe it is your
Washer/Dryer/Refrigerator/Stove. You might have a large
entertainment center, or a large kitchen hutch. Don't forget about your
mattresses and box springs. Then put your boxes on the top of your
furniture if at all possible. Try to fill all of the holes. The
tighter you pack your items, the less chance you have of the items shifting
in the trailer and breaking. Using the Provided Tie Down Straps, you
can secure your load by using our E-Track feature. Ask our driver
to show you how to use our E-Track feature.
Packing Dishes and
Glasses When packing your
dishes, use wrapping paper, not newspaper. Wrapping paper will allow
you to unwrap and put your dishes away. With using newspaper, you
may have to wash each dish and glass because of the ink on your items. Lamps & Shades Remove the shades
from each lamp and wrap the shade with towels and place them in a plastic bag
(like a thrash bag) to protect them from being crushed or soiled. place all of the shades on top of the load always
take the light bulb out of the lamp. Moving Dressers Dressers and chest
of drawers are very heavy and the clothes in them make it even
heaver. To lighten the load up so you can carry them out you can take out the drawers, but first number
all the drawers with a piece of masking tape. This will remind you
in which order they came out. To load, wrap these using 2 moving
pads supplied in the trailer. Push the dresser with the drawers
facing the front of the trailer. Do the same for the chest of
drawers. Use additional moving pads to cover up the night stands and
place them on top of the dresser. You can also use your kitchen
chairs and put them on top. Then put some light boxes or a small book
shelf etc, to build a tier. Two tiers can hold one room of furniture. Living Room
Furniture The first articles of
furniture that should be placed in the moving trailer is
the sofa or couch. There are two ways to of this. One is called on end. This
is when you place a moving pad on the floor and pick up the other end of
the sofa or couch. (CAUTION)(Hider bed sofa
must be tied down to prevent it from opening). As you pick up on one
side of the arm, Lift it up to the ceiling while the other arm will
lay down on top of the pad. To place it in
position hold on to the pad and pull the sofa or couch in place.
Place the back of the sofa to the front of the trailer and the legs to
the wall. Using one of the supplied Movers Straps, Clip one end in the
front using the E track then go around and clip the other end to
the back. Pull to tighten and youÕre done. Safe and secure. The other way is
to keep the sofa or couch legs on the floor and place the back to the front
of the trailer utilizing the width of the trailer. Now you can interlock a
love chair or an armchair. Then put in all the cushions from the chairs.
Try loading a rental truck like that! Appliances Always remove the
food from your refrigerator the night before. This will allow for
thawing out the freezer. By using our provided Professional Movers
Appliance Dolly, strapping and moving large appliances will be done with
ease. Then just push these heavy items into our trailer. No
lifting or carrying involved. You have 3 Options To
Loading Our Trailers Option 1 - Back Ramp
Door Our door is 8'x8' wide
and can be pulled down with little or no effort. This will allow you to
move your items in without lifting your furniture into the back of our
trailers. Put your dresser on our Provided Professional Movers
Dolly and push your items into place. Option 2 -
Curb Side Back Door If you can not open
up the back ramp door, you can use our Curb Side back door by using our
provided 3x6 Walk Board ramp. In this way, you are able to carry your furniture
into our moving trailer just like a professional moving van. You
are not limited to one door. Option 3 - Street
Side Back Door If you lived on a one
way street or have limited space, our Street Side back door is another
convenient feature to load our trailers. Using our
provided 3x6 walk board. If for some reason you can not use the
walk board, then you would only have a 2' step up to put your items into our
trailer. Most rental trucks have a 3' or 4' step up. No lifting
will be required. Thank you for
